The Beijing Enterprise Technology Center was founded in January 2012 and is a featured institution for R&D and innovation established in response to the demands derived from market competition. In July 2020, the Beijing Enterprise Technology Center obtained joint certification from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, the Beijing Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Finance, the Beijing Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation, and the National Beijing Customs.
The Beijing Engineering Technology R&D Center for 3D Printing Applications in Orthopedics was established in May 2015 with the approval of the Beijing Science and Technology Commission. The Beijing Engineering Technology R&D Center for 3D Printing Application in Orthopedics is a provincial-level engineering and technology research center. It is also an important part of Beijing's science and technology innovation system and the source of orthopedic 3D printing technology in China.
AK Academy, an education and training platform in the field of orthopedics, was established by AK Medical in 2012 with a purpose of serving medical professionals and other stakeholders. As of today, AK Academy has organized hundreds of academic activities by inviting renowned experts and scholars at home and abroad to talk on orthopedic theories, share surgical techniques and discuss classic cases so as to promote industrial knowledge exchanges, develop young orthopedists and improve doctor-patient communication.
